On the final day of Posidonia 2024, Friday, June 7th, an in-depth presentation on the ground breaking LH2CRAFT Project was hosted by Hydrus. The event was followed by a panel discussion on “The Future of H2: Challenges and Opportunities.” The seminar attracted a large audience and was met with great success.
The seminar began with a presentation of the LH2CRAFT Project by Astrinos Papadakis, Innovation Hub Manager & Project Coordinator at HYDRUS. This was followed by Asst. Professor Dr. Anna Zervaki from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), who discussed the LH2CRAFT Containment System and Materials. Dimitrios Jim Vlachos, Innovation Hub Engineer at HYDRUS, then presented on the LH2CRAFT Carrier Vessel. Nikos Zorbas, at Watermeλon Consulting, provided insights into financing issues and the market outlook.
A panel discussion moderated by Panos Mitrou of Lloyd’s Register included industry experts such as Konstantinos Voutzoulidis from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Antonis Trakakis from RINA, Ioannis John Kokarakis from Bureau Veritas Group, Lefteris Koukoulopoulos from DNV, Dimitrios Triantafyllopoulos from Hellenic Hydrogen, Kourkountis Panos from MARTECMA, and Panos Zachariadis from Atlantic Bulk Carrier. The discussion focused on the future of hydrogen (H2, presenting various perspectives and fostering a dynamic and fruitful dialogue.
