RINA with support from the UoS is organising the preliminary risk evaluation of the conceptual designs. A Hazard Identification (HAZID) study will take place in person in Trieste with participants from the consortium along with members of the external advisory board. The preliminary objectives of the HAZID study are to identify the risks of the membrane type LH2 cargo containment system design, considering also the ship integration and the main handling, distribution and monitoring subsystems. The level of the study depends on the maturity of the relevant tasks. At this early stage the main focus will be on the technology of the container tank with attention on: the insulation, container material, geometry. The feedback of the HAZID study will be an input on the early design stages.
