The European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) and the LH2CRAFT Project.

The European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) is the Association of the European Academia active in Aviation and Space research. The main objective of EASN is to support the development of new knowledge, innovation and breakthrough technologies through fundamental research in Aviation & Space. The long-term goal of EASN is to develop an open, unique European platform in order to structure, support and upgrade the research activities of the European Universities and to facilitate them to respond to their key role within the European Aviation & Space Research Community. It represents the European Academia in many forums and committees. EASN currently has more than 350 registered members, including individuals, universities and other organizations, through which it can network with more than 10,000 academic staff, researchers and scientists throughout Europe.

The EASN Association is represented by EASN-Technology Innovation Services (EASN-TIS). The latter is contractually linked to EASN and is exclusively authorized to act on its behalf in research projects, including project management and administration. EASN-TIS is a Belgium-based SME with branch offices in Greece and Cyprus. The company has an international presence and strong links to all major stakeholders of aviation and space research. The company has a proven track record and in-depth expertise in dissemination, communication and management processes, as well as in the formation of strategic development policies related to the aviation and space sector. Since its establishment, EASN-TIS has participated and currently participates in a plethora of projects (more than 50) both research and Coordination and Support Actions (CSAs).

In LH2CRAFT project, EASN will have a significant contribution to the formation and implementation of the Knowledge Hub for Open Innovation and Knowledge Transfer. Considering the well-established link with the aviation community, EASN will contribute to the transfer of knowledge between the different sectors involved. The LH2CRAFT project is important for EASN as it will create another link for transfer of knowledge between the maritime and the aviation sector, paving the way for further research and future exploitation of liquid H2
