University of Patras und the LH2CRAFT project

The University of Patras boasts a rich history of expertise in the utilization of advanced materials and the design of complex engineering systems across various sectors, notably aeronautics. Additionally, we maintain a robust commitment to pioneering research in the field of sustainable engineering. Consequently, we lead innovative approaches within Task 2.3 of WP2 in the LH2CRAFT project.

Specifically, the University of Patras collaborates through its Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, offering pivotal support to the project’s Knowledge Hub in WP11 as a platform for knowledge and technology transfer, fostering the integration of hydrogen-based solutions across sectors. Our department possesses a wealth of experience in designing liquid hydrogen storage systems, drawn from past participation in diverse projects within clusters such as Clean Aviation.

The University of Patras unwaveringly aligns with the LH2CRAFT project’s objectives and is a strong advocate for the transition to new sustainable technologies within the maritime and other sectors.
