LH₂CRAFT 5th General Assembly Meeting in Lisbon

LH₂CRAFT partners gathered in Lisbon to review project progress and coordinate the next steps towards safe and efficient liquid hydrogen solutions for maritime transport.

The LH₂CRAFT consortium met in Lisbon, Portugal, for the project’s 5th General Assembly Meeting, held on 26–27 May 2026 and hosted by WEGEMT. This hybrid meeting brought together partners from across Europe and South Korea to review progress, exchange technical updates, and coordinate the next steps towards the safe and efficient marine transportation of liquid hydrogen.

Over the course of the two-day meeting, partners reflected on the work carried out so far and aligned on the upcoming activities across the project’s main technical and strategic areas. Discussions focused on the development and assessment of the liquid hydrogen containment system, preliminary integrated ship design, material and insulation testing, subsystem validation, prototype assembly and demonstration, technical assessment, life-cycle analysis, and the approval process.
