Progress Update: Quantitative Safety Evaluation for the Detailed System Design

Building on our previous update, Task 8.4, led by University of Strathclyde, continues its focus on the Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) for the demonstrator ship, addressing key potential hazards. These hazards were initially identified through HAZID, FMEA, and HAZOP analysis.

In recent progress, following the HAZID workshop, we have successfully identified several critical QRA scenarios. Model preparations for these scenarios are currently underway, marking an important step in the project’s safety evaluation. Further scenarios will be discussed and developed after completing the FMEA and HAZOP analyses.

This ongoing work ensures that the detailed system design is both safe and robust, with all identified risks thoroughly assessed and mitigated. Stay tuned for the next update as we continue refining the safety measures for the demonstrator ship.
