Qualitative Safety Evaluation for the Detailed System Design

The enhanced models of Task 8.1 led by TWI will be applied to the detailed design (WP6 & WP7) to conduct Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). These analyses will identify hazards, operational problems, and system reliability issues in the demonstrator. The detailed design, assembly, and testing (Task 6.2 & Task 7.1) will incorporate the results and recommendations from these analyses. Additionally, a comparative analysis with other types of LH2 storage systems (Type B & Type C) will highlight their safety gaps. The final report will be reviewed by Classification Society before issuing general approval of the CCS (WP9).
