Significant progress has been achieved under Task 6.2 – Design and Manufacture of the Small-Size Test Model, led by the University of Patras (UPAT). Recent developments have advanced the design and strengthened the basis for the forthcoming procurement, manufacturing and assembly activities.
The test-rig design has been further refined, with modifications introduced to improve accessibility, equipment arrangement and overall system integration. Detailed design work on the subsystems and supporting structures has also progressed, bringing the small-size test model closer to readiness for procurement, manufacturing and assembly.
Together, these developments bring the small-size test model to a more mature design stage, supporting preparations for manufacturing and assembly.
The procurement phase is expected to begin soon. The next steps will focus on procuring the required components, finalising the remaining design details where necessary, and progressing towards manufacturing and assembly of the test model.
