We are pleased to announce that the LH2CRAFT and NH3CRAFT projects will be featured at the upcoming event “Maritime Decarbonisation in Action: EU-Funded Innovation & Collaboration”, taking place on the 3rd of July 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The event is hosted by ELKON, a partner of the BlueBARGE project, and will be held at the Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay Hotel, from 13:00 to 18:00 local time.
This forum will bring together a broad range of stakeholders involved in EU-funded research and innovation projects focused on the maritime sector’s green transition. It will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, presenting technological solutions, and strengthening collaboration toward sustainable and low-emission shipping.
A dedicated 30-minute session titled “Towards Zero-Emission Shipping: Ammonia and Hydrogen Storage Solutions” will be delivered by Alexandros Giannakis, Senior Engineer at Hydrus Engineering S.A. This session will present the objectives and progress of the LH2CRAFT and NH3CRAFT projects, focusing on their contributions to the development of innovative hydrogen and ammonia storage systems for maritime applications. It will offer valuable insights into how these technologies support the transition toward zero-emission shipping and contribute to the broader decarbonisation of the maritime sector.
This event represents a unique opportunity for professionals, policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders to connect, share insights, and explore future pathways toward maritime decarbonisation.
