Deliverable D8.3 – QRA Reports with Fire Explosion Simulation and Storage Tank Integrity presents a comprehensive quantitative risk assessment of potential liquid hydrogen release scenarios onboard the LH2CRAFT carrier. Through advanced numerical simulations, the report examines hydrogen fires and explosions, gas dispersion, accidental LH₂ spills, thermal loads, explosion pressures, storage-system integrity, and safety zones for cargo operations. The findings support the optimisation of the vessel’s safety arrangements, including vent locations, ventilation, separation distances, structural protection, gas detection, and emergency measures.
