Within Task 4.2, the focus is on integrating the cryogenic cargo containment system (CCS) into the preliminary ship design developed under Task 4.1. Led by Hydrus, this task involves a comprehensive structural assessment of the CCS, ensuring it aligns with the vessel’s design specifications.
A critical component of this task is to establish the required operational modes (e.g., warm-up, cooling down, purging) necessary for the safe and efficient storage of LH2 onboard. By addressing these elements, we aim to ensure the containment system’s integrity and performance within the innovative LH2 carrier design.
